Planning our community gathering

We had another great session yesterday at Centre 81 where we welcomed a new member to our group.  

She had heard about us and asked to come along to one of our sessions to meet everyone. We welcomed her and chatted about our upcoming community gathering. This event will be the perfect opportunity for her to meet all our group members and those we are inviting from other organisations and elected officials.  

We are excited to plan this first large scale community event in 3 years. We discussed what we’d like to have at it and how we should best advertise it. We will be making an online and printed postcard and a poster to display throughout the area.  

Keep an eye on our social media channels for more information on when the event will take place and please come along if you can, we’d love to see you there.  

At our group session we also discussed nursery education in Scotland and listened to a presentation on the provision of nursery care.

The women decided these presentations we have been having would be a great resource to share as they contain really useful information for New Scots, so check back on our website regularly for updates.
